AI-900 (Azure AI Fundamentals) covers machine learning concepts, computer vision, natural language processing, generative AI, and Azure services like Azure AI Services (formerly Cognitive Services), Azure Machine Learning, and Azure OpenAI Service. It is conceptual — no coding required.
Both are similar in difficulty. Candidates generally report AZ-900 has slightly more vocabulary to memorize (many Azure services), while AI-900 requires understanding AI concepts that may be less familiar. If you already understand basic AI terms (training, models, inference), AI-900 may feel easier.
