Day 1 — Cloud concepts (2 hours)
- Read our study guide section 1 (Cloud Concepts)
- Microsoft Learn module: "Describe cloud computing"
- Key terms: public/private/hybrid/multi-cloud, CapEx vs OpEx, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, shared responsibility
- Evening: take the Cloud Concepts practice test
Day 2 — Azure architecture & core services (2 hours)
- Study guide section 2 + Microsoft Learn "Describe core Azure architecture"
- Regions, availability zones, region pairs, resource groups, management groups
- Evening: Core Azure Services practice test
Day 3 — Compute, storage, databases (2 hours)
- VMs, App Service, Functions, AKS/ACI, Virtual Desktop
- Blob, Files, Disks, Queue, Table; hot/cool/archive tiers; LRS/GRS/ZRS
- SQL Database, Cosmos DB
- Evening: re-take Test 2 or review explanations from Day 2
Day 4 — Networking, identity & monitoring (2 hours)
- VNet, Load Balancer, Application Gateway, VPN, ExpressRoute, DNS, Traffic Manager
- Microsoft Entra ID, MFA, SSO, RBAC
- Monitor, Service Health, Advisor
- Evening: Scenario-Based practice test
Day 5 — Security & compliance (1.5 hours)
Day 6 — Pricing, SLAs & cost management (1.5 hours)
- Pricing Calculator, TCO, Cost Management, reservations, Hybrid Benefit, Spot VMs
- SLA math (99.9%, composite SLA), support plans, lifecycle (preview → GA)
- Evening: Pricing & SLA test
Day 7 — Full mock exam & review (2 hours)
- Morning: take the full mock exam (45 questions, timed)
- Score 80%+? Book the real exam. Below 80%? Review every explanation, re-take weak topic tests, then retake the mock.
- Evening: light review of your weakest domain + read our passing score tips
If you have 2 weeks instead of 1
Double the practice days: take each topic test twice, read all explanations, and aim for 85%+ on the mock exam before booking. More practice = more confidence.
If you have only 3 days
- Day 1: Study guide (all sections, skim tables)
- Day 2: Topic tests 1–4 + review explanations
- Day 3: Mock exam + scenario test + retake weak tests
